Sea Breeze Cafe by Henann Regency Boracay: Not Meeting Expectations

I was so excited to try the buffet of See Breeze Cafe by Henann Regency Boracay because it was rated as one of luxurious buffet restaurants in the island. We're supposed to have dinner with my best friend since they had a dancing chef show starts at 8 pm but we do lunch instead.  We arrived before 11:45 am since the buffet will start at 12 noon until 2:30pm, the staff assisted us on where to seat, the place is elegant as I expected but a little bit hot inside because is not air-conditioned.  While the staff is preparing the buffet, I and friend talk about our past buffet experience in some high end Restaurant in Manila that the food is flavorful and delicious.  The buffet lunch starts and the most attract me is the canape's, the presentation is perfect, but the taste is just an ordinary flavor and nothing special.  While waiting with my other friend who  will join us for lunch. I just noticed that some of their employees wearing unif...

Cross-Border: Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia to Muara, Brunei via Labuan Island

It was my second day in Kota Kinabalu, and I was thinking of visiting Labuan Island before I headed to Brunei for my flight back to the Philippines. The bus from KK to Brunei will take more or less 10 hours, and I can’t do it anymore since I took that bus from Brunei to KK . The weather in Borneo is sweltering, and there are 4 borders to cross. It is a very tiring route. Labuan Express Tiga bound to Labuan Island I went to Jesselton Port, just a 5-minute walk from  Hotel Grandis where I stayed for 2 nights to buy a ticket to Brunei via Labuan Island on The next day, and I paid 60 Ringgit and extra 5 Ringgit for a 1 st class seat to Labuan. Ticket Booth for Brunei via Labuan I'm roaming around the pier and nothing an interesting, my planned was to do an Island hopping in Gaya and nearby island, since there’s a lot of tourist on that day I decided to cancel it because I will not enjoy the tour. The next morning I wake up around 6am to fix my things before I take...

Exploring Tokyo, Japan

Japan is one of the countries in my travel goals before getting married or settling down. In my college days, I always watched anime on Tv, and one of my favorites was the YAKITATI JAPAN. At first, I never ever expected that my dream would come true.  Taito-Ku, Ueno  When I applied for a Japan Visa, I flew to Manila from my workplace in Boracay Island because some of the accredited agencies are located in Metro Manila. 2 weeks before my flight, I collected all the requirements needed of the embassy. Tokyo National Museum  I applied for my visa through Reli tours & Travel Agency, and I paid 950.00 pesos for their handling fee. After 10 days, I got a text message from the agency stated my passport was ready for pick-up, but instead, they sent it to me via courier.  Narita International Airport T3 I received my passport, and I am so happy that my application got approved. The happiness and tears in my eyes when I saw a Visa on my Passpor...

Land Travel By Bus: Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

There are three ways to reach Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, from Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. First, ride a ferry via Labuan Island, it will take about 7 hours. Second is by bus via Sarawak, Malaysia; it will take more or less 10 hours. Lastly take an hour flight from Brunei Airport. Let's focus on land travel. There's no concrete info online regarding this route before I travel, but I really want to do it because of the Passport stamp I will get before I reach Kota Kinabalu. One month before my travel date, I purchase a bus ticket online via  Sipitang Express .  This company is the only one offering a trip to Kota Kinabalu via Lawas, Sarawak Malaysia .  I was so nervous at first because of the multiple entries in the two countries. I was consulting some of the travel blogger friends regarding doing numerous entries into a visa-free country. They said nothing to worry about. It's fine.  First Border TENDUNGAN, SARAWAK, MALAYSIA I left the hotel in Ban...

HOTEL GRANDIS: A Luxurious Hotel with Fantastic View of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park Islands.

I arrived in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, from Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, around 6 in the evening was already supposed to be at 4:30pm because of  the traffic at the border. The weather in Borneo is quite hot sometimes. They hit at 37 degrees, as per my friend who’s working in Bandar Seri Begawan.  The Hotel  The Hotel Grandis is one of the luxurious hotels in Kota Kinabalu that offers a great ocean view from some of their rooms and in the Sky Blu Bar on the 12 th floor.  It was built in a very great location in the center of Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, I decided to walk around to find the hotel instead of riding in a cab. After 15 minutes, I finally found the property.  The welcoming staff of the hotel assisted me in my check-in process. After presenting my passport to the beautiful young lady at the front desk gave my key card with the short briefing of the hotel policy.  The Room My booked room was i...
