Iligan City - A Majestic Falls of Maria Christina

Maria Christina is one of Majestic Falls, it is sometimes called the "Twin Falls" as the flow is separated by a rock. When I was in grade school, I always heard this in our lecture in Hekasi and I can't believe that I  witnessed how beautiful  Maria Christina falls is.

Beautiful Maria Christina Falls
When I arrived at Cagayan De Oro City at 8:30 am I leave my things first in my hotel before headed to Iligan City. From the Cagayan Park view Hotel where I check in, I ask some of locals on how to get at Bulua Terminal, I walk  around to find a Jeep with sign board Bulua Terminal, I  find it at  2nd crossing street from my hotel the fare is P18. When I arrived in the terminal, there are 2 bus companies  offer a ride bound to Iligan City fare is P140 Air-conditioned travel time is approximately  1 hour and 20 minutes.

After 1 hour and 30 minutes I arrived in the Iligan City  and transfer a jeep going to Agus VI Hydroelectric Plant where Maria Christina falls is located. I pay 40 pesos in the ticketing booth for shuttle service, because no one splits on me for the fare, the first stop is in Botanical & Zoological Garden. there's few animals that time, because the renovation is on going.

After a couple of minutes inside the zoo I went outside to called my driver to take me in the main attraction "The Maria Christina Falls" going to the falls is not a walking distance it is a little bit far from the main gate and the staff are not allowing visitor to walk.

When I see the falls I said to myself this is it, finally we see each other I stayed almost an hour  to complete my excitement. After I leave I told maria and Christina that I will come back again soon. The driver waits me and drop off me in the main gate, I waited again a jeep going to city center to take my lunch before going back to Cagayan de oro.

  7. I've only ever seen this from books like all the others who have commented before me. This is quite far from where I'm living now, but I do hope I get the chance to experience the majestic vibe of the falls.
