Bantayan Island is located in the west of the northern end of Cebu IslandThe island is not a place for shopping or adventure, this island all about peace. If you want to escape in the crowded city, the noise, the pollution, the stress, then visit Bantayan Island and discover what living in the paradise.


Bantayan Island is a very small island with three municipalities which is composed of Bantayan, Santa Fe and Madridejos. This island is not too much crowded it is like the other famous beaches in the Philippines. It becomes more and more popular as a greater number of tourists came from all over the world and witness the hidden charm of the island






HOW TO GET IN BANTAYAN ISLAND

Bantayan Island can be reached via ferry services from Hagnaya Port (San Remigio) to Santa Fe Port, and from Estancia Iloilo to Bantayan municipal port. Bantayan Island has its own airfield but no commercial airline fly to this island it only handles infrequent flights from chartered planes arriving from Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The price ranges approximately start from Php 10,000.00 – 20,000.00 per flight.



SANTA FE BEACH

CEBU CITY TO HAGNAYA PORT

Getting to Bantayan Island, if you are coming from Cebu city take the bus in Cebu North Terminal, time interval every 20 minutes, there’s a bus that leaves Cebu City as early as 4:00 in the morning to Hagnaya in town of San Remigio and fare is P180, travel time is approximately 3 hours.

In Hagnaya port catch a ferry going to San Fe port. It will take an hour and fare is P180. The ferry leaves Hagnaya port every hour as early as 6:00am with the last trip of 4:00pm daily same as well in Santa Fe port to Hagnaya port.

GETTING TO CEBU CITY

Mactan-Cebu International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the country, most of the budget airline like Cebu Pacific Air, Air Asia Zest and the flag carrier Philippine Airlines fly to Cebu from Manila, Iloilo, Roxas, Kalibo Caticlan, Puerto Princesa, Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Zamboanga and Bacolod. It is also accessible from other Asian country like Hongkong, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Taiwan and Japan.



ILOILO CITY TO ESTANCIA PORT

If you are coming from Iloilo City, take a bus in Iloilo Tagbak Terminal going to Estancia. There’s s bus leaves Iloilo City as early as 4:30 in the morning. Travel Time is approximately 3 hours and fare is P180 for air-conditioned bus.

In Estancia port catch a pump boat going to Bantayan Municipal port. The boat leaves Estancia once a day every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at exactly 9:00am. Travel time is roughly 4 hours and fare is P300. From Bantayan to Estancia the same boat that leaving Bantayan Municipal port once a day every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at exactly 9:00am

GETTING TO ILOILO CITY

There is a direct flight to Iloilo from Manila, Cebu, Cagayan De Oro, Puerto Princesa, General Santos, and Davao. There’s also a flight coming from Singapore and Hongkong via Cebu Pacific Air and Philippine Airlines.

Most of the travelers are staying in the beach area of Sta. Fe where some of accommodation range is P450 for a fan room near in the beach.

  3. I always thought that it's very expensive to go to Bantayan Island because the only option I know is the chartered flight. I haven't been to Cebu and I might consider going to Bantayan Island instead of just staying in Cebu. Bucketlist entry!!!

  5. I've been to Bantayan Island once, summer of 2012. Stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days. Because the island is small, we were actually able to stroll around the island. Rented a motorbike for 600 in 2 days. Want to go back there again.

  8. Cebu has always been on my bucketlist but I am not aware of the Bantayan islands.. all i know about Cebu is the Mactan Shrine and that huge Monastery of the Holy Eucharist...Grabe naman kasi kamahal ang flight to Cebu hehe.. maybe there are coupons or Airfare discounts i can avail

Kayangan Lake Coron Island  is located in the northern part of  Palawan and one of the largest Island of Calamian. The Island is part of the Ancestral domain of indigenous Tagbanwa people.
